It’s a place of community, and acceptance, and love, and joy, and I just look back on my days at CPC and I just love every moment of it.
CPC has become a part of who I am now. Those experiences that I had, the learning that took place, has directly impacted who I am as a religion teacher, and the goal that I have for my students. That’s part of my drive everyday.
It’s worth everything in terms of the opportunity to become more yourself in your Catholic faith. I think it engages you intellectually, it offers you a strong and supportive Catholic community, and I think it pushes you to experience things that you wouldn’t in a secular university.
Having other people around you, who may not be studying exactly the same thing as you, but have that mutual understanding of the faith, and can offer support. And, if you have questions or you don’t understand why the Church teaches something the way it does, there’s always people around CPC who will talk about it. That’s the other thing I love about CPC - there’s always somebody who’s willing to converse with you about any topic.
