We heard David Hunt make a compelling case that ideas have consequences — that the permanent things, when abandoned, leave a society that is disintegrated and adrift. We heard from a student whose faith was deepened — not just his mind formed — by his time at CPC. And we hope you felt, as we did, that the work being done here is both urgent and full of hope.

Ideas Have Consequences
David Hunt traced the roots of our present cultural crisis through three permanent institutions — government, religion, and family — each of which has been progressively hollowed out. His central argument: when God is expelled from the public square, ideology rushes in to fill the void. Politics becomes a substitute religion. Disintegration follows.
If disintegration is the problem, integration is the answer — and there is only one place in British Columbia offering that integrated education.

Last night was an invitation into that story — and what you participated in was the prelude to something larger — a gathering that will bring together 150 to 200 supporters of Catholic education for an evening designed to be unforgettable.
This is not simply a fundraiser. It is a declaration: that faithful Catholic formation is possible in Canada, that it is bearing fruit, and that this community will not let it fail for lack of support.
